The Farnborough Society

Preserving the past, shaping the future

Letter from Ian Mattison regarding the talk on Minley Manor

Good Morning Anne

Thank you very much for your lovely email and it was my pleasure to give this talk
to the Farnborough Society. I was made so very welcome and judging by the questions
it clearly is a subject that generates a lot of interest.

I was remiss of course in that I did acknowledge some help from one of your members,
Jo Gosney, who is mentioned in my book. Farnborough Society are therefore very much
associated with this book on Minley Manor.

Thank you too for the very generous donation to the RBL as it is a cause very close to my
heart and I have been an active member of the Fleet & Church Crookham. If I may take this
opportunity to give a little plug, I am taking part in the London to Paris ride for the RBL in
September and my Just Giving Page is at –

Once again I really enjoyed the evening and I am pleased your society enjoyed it too.

My kind regards

Maj (Retd) Ian Mattison MInst RE
